Dawson’s was recommended to me by a friend. i needed to take myself on a date for painting since my husband was out of town. I never dreamt that a filet and crab cake could be this FANTASTIC. Broccoli is my favorite veggie is was done perfectly. (Which I never get at other places). My margarita was perfection. Best part of my my whole experience was my server JOE!! I felt like was his only table and he was popping to other tables all night. THANK YOU JOE FOR MAKING MY 1ST EXPERIENCE AT DAWSON’S THE BEST.

This is my 'go to' place. Consistently good food and always great service. Diverse menu for lunch and dinner. Great salads, steaks and the prime rib on Friday and Saturday has been to die for lately. Well maintained, clean and a great local hangout. Recommend

Hearty food was shared with great friends. The portions are huge. The spinach artichoke dip has a lot of cheese in it and is very rich. The portion could serve 6 people easily. We ordered 3 portions for 6 people, so we we're stuffed. The calamari portion was very large also, but we ate it all, because they were soft and meaty and went well with the red wine. Our friends ordered meatloaf. It was really good too.

Always good food

We visited on a Tuesday and we're the only people in the restaurant and still got mediocre service. We did enjoy the food we ordered. I chose the barbecue sandwich and my wife got some sort of large salad and we were both happy with the quality and portion size.

From the moment I walked in the door, I could tell this was going to be a great experience! All the staff was sincere and friendly, warmly welcoming me and taking care of me quickly. Even in the middle if the week, they were busy.For dinner, I enjoyed the Caesar's salad with what tastes like homemade dressing-it was outstanding!Dawson's signature french onion soup shouldn't be missed, either!I ordered a half slab of ribs, and regretted not doing the full slab. They have such great flavor, so be sure ti have sauce on the side. I was too full (or trying to be good), so i skipped dessert, but what I saw looked amazing as well. Dawson's hit the mark on every level; I'll be back.

Simply the best Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. There might be a few it's:equal but nowhere is it better.And I'm told that quality is upheld through-out Dawson's On Main's entire menu.

Supporti g the local peiple. Just a quick bite for lunch. Reuben and fries. Both piping hot and fresh made. Glad to hear theyre doing ok during this time. Keep up the good work

The food is so delcious but my main issue was the service. They are really attentive and good with their regulars and you can tell the obvious difference in that. I had an issue where i ordered a pasta and the website clearly states that all pastas include a side salad but I didn't receive one and when I mentioned this, my server Ron said the website was wrong and brought me back a menu to prove the difference. I understand his point but a discrepancy with the website is not my mistake and needs to be corrected not scolded because I mention it. Also it was very difficult to find parking at a reasonable distance which is a grip because it was 15 degrees outside on this day!!

Best spinach and artichoke dip we've ever had- no chain restaurant can compare. Generous portion meals. Clean tables and subtle decor. Six person booths available. Family owned (another location in B'burg). Highly recommend and we will be back soon.

Very amazing experience, our server JOE was so fun and made it feel so fun. He made me a pizza even though the pizza ovens weren’t up and running and it was AMAZING. Go here for a bite to eat!

Highly recommend making reservations and being prepared to wait. Food was delicious, staff was very friendly. Sadly we didn't know you could make reservations and waited 80 minutes for a table. We will be back as food and service were excellent.

Second time here and it lived up to the first experience. Must recommend the Black and blue sandwich it was piled high with meat and just the right amount of blue cheese. Plus let me congratulate on the over the top wait staff earned the tip.

my waitress Joe really was a good influence on our environment, and he gave us good food and he excepted me bringing in my stale bread. he has glasses , he is a nice nice man. Very humbling experience period. He brought me a refill on my soda and it was very delicious and it made me feel like I was welcomed in this restaurant. It was a very crisp Dr Pepper. Fish and chips are excellent. Moved from a front house table to a side table. Wasn't to much of an inconvenience. Visited on a saturday night, no wait. Service was good. Would recommend a visit.

We went for devour downtown..the food was delicious and there was so much food! Tuesday is also half price wine bottle night!

Really great place to eat. Never had a single complaint out of the 10 or so times I've eaten here. Food comes extremely fast, and is always exactly as ordered.

When you think of the show Cheers, you can insert Dawson's. This place truly offers that feel where everyone knows each other with it's familiar faces and cozy space. My favorites include their crab cakes and their horseradish crusted sirloin. You will also be satisfied by their hands breaded tenderloin and there salads featuring house made dressings. I am a big fan of their blue cheese dressing.

Large variety of entrees, something for everyone. Friendly staff and fast service. Sirloin tip and calamari appetizers were very tasty. Ribs, fish and steaks were done well. Food and drink cost are reasonable. Family friendly restaurant.

Bartenders are always great here. Food is very good. Their calamari is the best I've had around here. A little on the pricey side but worth it. Hard to find parking but if you don't mind walking a little ways you can usually find something.

Excellent service and great food at one of the oldest spots on Main in Speedway. I had the meat loaf and I couldn't more highly recommend it anywhere else.An absolutely great spot to sit outside on a summer or fall afternoon and enjoy some good food and beverages.

The food was awesome. We had hamburgers and tenderloins. They were great. The onion rings and chef's veggies were tasty. We had little interaction with the staff because of the current situation, but they were very friendly. This was our very first visit but we will definitely be back.

One Star only because I can't rate it a ZERO. Attending a meeting last night (03/10/2020) I ordered dinner, a hamburger, 3 other members of our group came in AFTER I had ordered and got their food while mine NEVER and I do mean NEVER showed up. To the restaurant's credit I wasn't presented a check either. The only saving grace in an otherwise TERRIBLE experience at a place where the food isn't all that great anyway.

Ron,the bartender is the best. He's always on it. Takes care of his customers in any situation. Thursday night's half-price martinis are excellent for the ladies. We'll continue to visit Dawson's as we have been.

Great hometown bar/restaurant. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Our server, Jeremy, went out of his way to make sure our little guy was happy, which made the whole experience more enjoyable . Quality hamburger. Pulled pork was a great portion size. They were very accomadodatimg for the food sensitivities we had. Would definitely recommend it!

The food was very good. The employees were very nice. This was a perfect restaurant to spend time with family and friends. We will definitely be going back.

We visited on a Thursday evening. Be sure to check out their half priced martinis on Thursdays! They have a huge selection. The bar area was busy and delayed initial drink service when we first arrived. The service was extremely prompt and friendly the remainder of our visit. We split the 14oz ribeye. It was cooked exactly as ordered, had great flavor & was very tender. Side salads were good & the baked potato was large. We will return.

This restaurant was highly recommended to us & it did not disappoint! Joe was our server & he was AMAZING! We had a group of 8 with 4 teenagers & he was the perfect guy to wait on us! We completely scored with the great food & fun service! The kids loved Joe & so did we! The best meal of our entire week here in Indiana! Thanks Joe!!

Great food, reasonable prices. Didn't love any of the 3 wines I tried though. Next time I'll try one of their martinis; my friends loved theirs.

We don't get here too often but when we do it never disappoints. The Calamari is the best.
